A declaration of a person made during his lifetime with respect to his property or beneficial interests thereof, to be carried out for the purposes of charity or for any other purposes permissible by Islamic Law, after his death.

Muslims are permitted to bequeath one-third of his assets via a Wasiat to his loved ones who are not entitled under Faraid, be they Muslims or otherwise, or for charitable purposes in accordance with Syariah.

Assets are frozen upon the death of the person.

Application for Letters of Administration and Sijil Faraid has to be made.

The Administrator is appointed.

Application for dispensation of sureties or application for appointing 2 sureties is made.

*An Administration Bond is not required if a corporate trustee is appointed.

Letters of Administration are granted, thereby freeing the assets and distribution is made according to Faraid.

Application for Grant of Probate and Sijil Faraid has to be made.

Probate is granted.

Asset free and can be executed in accordance with the Wasiat.
