    Dato’ Murelidaran M Navaratnam于1988年毕业于伦敦大学，获得法学士（荣誉）学位。他是伦敦尊贵的内殿律师学院的成员，并于1989年获得英格兰和威尔士的律师资格。

    他于1990年获得马来亚高等法院出庭代讼人及执业律师的资格。他于1990年在Messrs. Pregraves and Matthews开始了他的法律生涯，随后加入Messrs. Ghazi & Lim。他于2003年开始创办自己的律师事务所，自此一直经营自己的事务所。Dato’ Murelidaran M Navaratnam从事法律工作总共超过20年。在此期间，他曾担任马来西亚律师公会成员，并在2008年至2011年担任槟城律师公会主席。
